Obituary for William Young
William Young, age 82, of Wooster, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Barberton Summa Hospital in Barberton.
He was born on June 6, 1934 and had been a Wooster resident for all of his life. He also presently resided at the Doylestown Care Center in Doylestown for the last 4 months.
He had served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as an Insurance Adjuster in the Wooster and surrounding area's for many years. He later served as Chaplain at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.
He was also known for being a very sociable and well liked individual with all those he met throughout the years.
A committal service with military honors will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. There will be no local visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Summa Health Hospice, 525 E. Market St., Akron, Oh. 44304.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster is honored with serving the family.
