Obituary for Frank O. Blackwell Sr. Rev.

Rev. Frank O. Blackwell, Sr., age 86, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a period of declining health. He was surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 26, 1930 in Lowellville, Ohio to Joseph B. and Julia (Shifflet) Blackwell.

He married Audrey L. Barnhart in Hubbard, Ohio in 1949. She survives.

In his earlier years, he worked with his father building homes and throughout the years had pastored in numerous churches in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and the New York area's. He also loved to fish.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Sandra (Bill) Ewing of Indian Land, S.C., Frank (LuAnne) Blackwell, Jr. of Tioga Center, N.Y., Joyce (Wes) Speicher of Wooster, Oh. and David Blackwell of Butler, Pa.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Smotrila of Columbiana, Oh.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mazie Sprankle and a brother, Charles Blackwell.

Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Lowellville, Oh. with Pastor Aaron Lundquist officiating followed by interment at the Lowellville Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church one hour (1:00 - 2:00 p.m.) prior to services.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
