Arlene M. Ross, age 69, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Orrville Pointe Nursing Care Center in Orrville following a long-term illness. She was surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 19, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to Willard and Mary (Modic) Scandlon.

She married Robert C. Ross on October 6, 1995, who passed away on November 15, 2005. She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster; loved spending time with family and friends; reading the bible; and taking care of her pet canine companion, "Cooper". Her smile and laugh brought joy to many people.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane M. Hixson of Wooster and Natalie A. Binion of Canton, Ohio.; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert A. (Jean) Scandlon of Spencer, OH, and 2 sisters, Janet (Ted) Truelsch of North Royalton, OH, and Mary Jane (Y.J.) Foster of Parma, OH; and 6 nephews and 3 nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her 2 sons, Allen R. Hixson and Dennis R. Hixson.

Services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Fr. Stephen Moran officiating followed by interment at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, OH.

Visitation will be one hour (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) prior to services on Saturday.
