Obituary for Willis E. Weaver

Willis E. Weaver, age 81, of Apple Creek, went home to be with the Lord. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Joel Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg following a period of declining health.

He was born on July 13, 1935 in Fredericksburg, Oh. to Ervin L. and Mary (Miller) Weaver and has been an area resident for all of his life.

He had previously worked as the owner of a produce business before retiring after 10 years of service.

He was a member of West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster; was an avid trapshooter and belonged to the American Trapshooters Assoc.; was a life-time member of the N.R.A and belonged to the Wayne County Coon Hunters Assoc.; also enjoyed traveling annually to Arizona. He mostly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his 3 daughters, Kelly (William) Harrington of Dover, Oh., Pamela (Terin) Mitterling of New London, Oh. and Kimberly (Anthony) Perris of Louisville, Oh.; 10 grandchildren, Patrick, Lauren, Mikayla, Caden, Ashlyn, Landon, Lyndsay, Erika, Nicole and Alexandria; 10 siblings, Eli (Sue) Weaver, Levi (Ada) Weaver, John (Lydia Ann) Weaver, Mose (Arie) Weaver, Ervin (Lydia Ann) Weaver, Paul (Rebecca) Weaver, Lydia Ann (Eli) Bowman, Ellen (Issac) Yoder, Amanda Weaver and Emma Kauffman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Esther Weaver.

Services will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at West Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating followed by interment at Apple Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at West Hill Baptist Church from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour (9:00-10:00a.m.) prior to services on Tuesday.
