Obituary for Billy Ray Wallace

Billy Ray Wallace, age 79, of Wooster, entered into rest, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster following an extended illness. His family was by his side.

He was born on October 6, 1937 in Hellier, Ky. to James and Elvira (Branham) Wallace.

He married Linda Keim on February 14, 1961. She survives.

He retired from Westinghouse/Rosemont Corporation of Orrville after many years of service.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children Richard & Alicia Wallace, Tammy and Bill Pumphrey, all of Wooster and Amy Wallace of Dalton, Oh.; Grandpa Bill was loved by his grandchildren Zachary & Morgan Wallace, Spenser and Courtney Wallace, Charlsey and Ben Callender, Celia and Cory O’Hearn, Seth Pumphrey, and Alex, Anthony and Andrew Silvis. Surviving siblings: Clara Potter of Elkhorn City, Kentucky; Polly Thompson of Yawkey, West Virginia; and John (Vivian) Wallace of Wooster; Surviving In-laws; Jake Keim of Fredericksburg, Edna and Delmar Hahn, Sue and Jeff Linder all of Orrville, Betty Fishburn of Wooster, Ella Weimer of Mount Vernon, Ada Garber of Sugarcreek, Jonas and Lena Keim of Stockbridge, GA, Charlotte Keim of Chesterland, Ohio, and Lizzy Keim of Sugarcreek.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Rufus, Lawrence, Joshua, Ferrell, and Russell Wallace; and sisters, Rosalie Crum and Faye Childers.

As per his wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
