Obituary for Robert E. Moore Jr.

Robert E. Moore, Jr., age 78, of Wooster, entered into rest, Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Wooster Community Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born on April 9, 1938 in Wheeling, W.Va., to Robert Eugene, Sr. and Thelma Eileen (Smith) Moore.

He married Irene L. Geer on October 19, 1957 in Dillonvale, Ohio. She survives.

He has been an area resident for the last 58 years and worked for the former Rubbermaid Co. in Wooster for 38 years before retiring in 1995.

He enjoyed fishing, stock car racing and was a football fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Michael Dean (Mary) Moore of Glouster, Oh. and Tim Lee (Linda) Moore of Orrville, Oh.; grandchildren, Joshua D. Moore, Alicia A. Moore, Colton D. Moore, Thomas J. Moore, Dakota T. Moore, Hunter S. Fuhrer, Eric J. Fuhrer, Mackenzie I. Fuhrer, Adrian, Adrianna and Micheal McGrew; 13 great-grandchildren and his beloved canine companion, "Ginger".

His parents precedes him in death.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, October 15, 2016, 2:30 p.m. at Smithville United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolyn Berry officiating. There will be a time of food and fellowship following services.

A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster.
