Obituary for Charles F. "Scotty" Scott

Charles F. "Scotty" Scott, age 90, of Barberton, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 25, 2016 at Hospice Of Visiting Nurse Service in Fairlawn, Ohio following a brief period of declining health. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on February 9, 1926 in Barberton to Earl J. and Esther (Pinkley) Scott and has been a Barberton area resident for all of his life.
He married Evelyn R. Woody on November 12, 1955 in Angola, IN. She survives.
He worked for Alside, Inc. in Cuyahoga Falls for 34 years before retiring in 1982. For many years, he was an avid C.B. enthusiast who went by the name of "Scotch Guard"; was meticulous with his vehicles and enjoyed meeting with his friends for "coffee break". He enjoyed traveling and mostly loved spending time with his family throughout the years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Linda Maschmeier and Susan (Bill) Lee all of Barberton and Christine (Samuel) Glenn of Wooster; grandchildren, James (Beth) Dodd of Fairlawn, Lisa (William) Calhoun of Akron, Christopher Lee and Ryan Lee of Barberton, Jordan Glenn (Taryn Evans) of Killbuck, Oh. and Emilee Glenn of Wooster; 4 great-grandchildren with another great - grandson on the way; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Lea Scott and brothers, Robert and Eugene Scott.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family with Interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron.
