Obituary for Marjorie E. "Betty" Hibbs

Marjorie E. "Betty" Hibbs, age 96, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster.
She was born on August 15, 1919 in Salem, Ohio to Edwin G. and Stella T. (Thompson) Hibbs and has been a Wooster resident for most of her life.
She had previously worked as a Secretary and Switchboard Operator for the Freedlanders Dept. Store in Wooster for 46 years before retiring on September 3, 1983.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Wooster and enjoyed her working in her flower beds and gardening. She enjoyed helping and caring for those in need for many years; she enjoyed her many friends over the years and met monthly with a group at the Greenleaf Restaurant.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hibbs of Ashland; 10 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews and 21 great-great nieces and nephews; numerous friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dr. John Hibbs, Dr. Thom Hibbs and Herbert Hibbs; 2 nephews, David and Samuel Hibbs.
Services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Rev. Andries Coetzee officiating followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery.
Visitation will be This evening (4 - 6 p.m.) at the funeral home.
