Obituary for - Susan L. "TOGETHER AGAIN Susie" Williams
Susan L. "Susie" Williams, age 67, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at her residence where she was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in March 25, 1948 in Wooster to Harry L. and Jean L. (Kurtz) Horst and has been a Wayne County resident for all of her life.
She married Dale R. Williams on December 13, 1970 in Orrville. He went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2005 in Wooster.
She previously worked at Rubbermaid and then with Walmart in Wooster. She then served as Chaplain at Wooster Community Hospital and previously served as Deaconess and Choir Director at the Shreve Christian Church. She is a member of East Chippewa Church of The Brethren in Orrville.
Susie enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader; music was also her passion in life where she was also involved with the Horst Family Singers for over 35 years. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and was looking forward to a great grandchild who is on the way.
She is survived by her children, Robert D. Williams and Benjamin H. (Nikki) Williams all of Wooster and Heidi (Kent) Barler of Mansfield, OH.; 14 grandchildren; her siblings, Richard L. (Karen) Horst of Smithville, Barb (Bill) Teach of Wooster and JoElla (John) Swinehart of Orrville; a step-mother, Lela Horst of Dalton, OH.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Mowrer and bother-in-law, James Hackett.
Services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at East Chippewa Church of the Brethren in Orrville with Pastor Brad Kelley officiating followed by a luncheon for family and friends at the church.
The interment will follow leaving from the church at 1:30 p.m. to Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
Visitation will be one hour prior (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
