Joyceann Calame, age 83, of Jeromesville, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 1, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a period of declining health.
She was born on March 6, 1932 in Ashland, Ohio to Glen & Grace (Bowen) Hutchinson and has been a resident of Wayne County for most of her life.
She married Jay E. Calame on November 6, 1949 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ashland. He survives.
She was a devoted homemaker as well as an excellent seamstress. For many years, she also helped her husband with the many farming responsibilities.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Renee Crabtree; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Hutchinson.
Graveside services will be Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Shreve with Pastor Delbert Kettering officiating.
There will be no visitation. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
