James D. Cruise, age 81, of Wooster, entered into rest, Sunday April 26, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice of Wayne County in Wooster.
He was born on February 2, 1934 in Washington County, VA. to Calvin Lee and Susie Ellen (Holmes) Cruise and has been a Wooster resident for all of his life.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and married Sharon Louise Busch. She entered into rest in 1988.
He had worked throughout the area as a self employed painter for over 50 years.
He is survived by numerous family and friends including his brother, Carl J. (Mary Ann) Cruise of Wooster.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he is preceded in death by 4 sisters and a brother.
It was his wishes that there would be a private interment at Apple Creek Cemetery and at the convenience of the family. An Army flag will be flown in his honor during this week at the funeral home.
There will be no public services.
