Obituary for Kenneth Ralph Linz- (TOGETHER AGAIN)

Kenneth Ralph Linz, 84, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, March 8, 2015.
He was born November 27, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest child of Michael
and Frieda (Geiger) Linz. He married Catherine Frances (Grief) Linz on November 5, 1957. Kenneth was a devoted husband and loving father of seven children, grandfather of twenty and
great-grandfather of thirteen. He was an active member of Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, past member of the International Association of Firefighters Local 93 and a lifetime member
of the American Legion Post 339. He served multiple terms as president and held various executive positions in local airstream associations.
Kenneth graduated from John Marshall High School in Cleveland in 1949 and served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Cleveland Fire Department from 1958-1983. In addition to being a firefighter, Kenneth worked as a carpenter and a mason. After his retirement, he and his wife Catherine became avid travelers touring
throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico in their airstream.
Kenneth is survived by his children Darlene Weber, Russell (Lauretta) Linz, Faye (Terry) Wells, Brenda (Dwain) Galiher, Nancy (Bernie) Frohnapple, Kenneth (Cathy) Linz, Joseph (Emerald)
Linz; grandchildren Joel (Amanda) Weber, Brenda Weber, Kevin and Caitlin Wells, Brian (Jessi) Wells, Amber, Aaron, Autumn and Adrianne Galiher, Neil (Katie) Frohnapple, Julia (Joe) Cartwright, Kyle, Bernard
and Sadie Frohnapple, Heidi (Tyler) Carr, Kenneth R. (Brooke) Linz ll, Gretchen (Eric) Shaw, Hayden Linz, Katerina and Joseph Linz; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Amelia, Aubrey Weber and
Philip Kay, Nora Frohnapple, Tyler, Devonte and Taylon Weber, Adalyn and Alden LInz, Bentley and Carter Wells, Annalise Shaw; sisters Naomi Neubeck and Gladys (Norman) Schoenmeyer and beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Harold, sisters Grace Ross, Eleanor Parish and two great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will take place on May 19, 2015 with interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a
charity of the donor’s choice.
