Obituary for Richard "Dick" Arnold

Richard "Dick" Arnold, age 68 of Wooster, passed away, Monday, December 1, 2014 at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville following a period of declining health.
He was born on September 5, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Francis J. and Helen B. (Smith) Arnold and has been an area resident since 1979.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and also trained recruits as a Cook Instructor at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in 1968.
He married Marilee Louise Chase on June 14, 1966 in Glenmont, OH. She survives.
When he left the Navy, he then worked as Assistant Manager at the IGA store in Killbuck. He then worked as a dairy farmer for many years before working for the Merillat Cabinet Co. in Loudonville and then to Ocala, Florida as a cabinet maker before retiring in 2006.
He was a life time member of the Orrville VFW and previous member of the Killbuck Lions Club.
In addition to his mother of Glenmont, OH. and his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Richard "Rich" (Heather) Arnold of Wooster; 2 daughters, Ronda James of Kent,OH. and Rosemary Arnold of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Tom Arnold of Glenmont, OH., Eugene (Faye) Arnold of Lafayette, OH. and Larry Arnold of Millersburg; 4 sisters, Marie Doretich of Millersburg, Joan Gray of Glenmont, OH., Anne (Andy) Kochera of Lakeville and Julia (Charlie) Miller of Orrville.
In addition to his grandparents and father, he is preceded in death by an uncle, Lloyd Schopfer; a nephew, Michael Arnold and several other Aunts and Uncles.
Private services will take place at the convenience of the family. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
