Obituary for David W. Carpenter

David W. Carpenter, age 75, of 4850 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Cleveland Clinic.
Services will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster. Family will greet friends following services for a time of visitation.
Burial will be at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at the convenience of the family.
He was born March 22, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Wade and Louise (Dials) Carpenter and married Sandra L. Seaman on October 1, 1962. She survives.
He was a US Navy veteran and had been a machinist at Westinghouse and Rosemount in Orrville. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and was an avid fisherman and a died hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Valarie (John) Castillo and Scott (Lisa) Carpenter both of Lexington, N.C., Becky (Sam) Urban of Massillon and Joe of the home; grandchildren, Susie Williams (Kevin McCullough), Juanita Castillo, Kayla Uhler, Dakota Boyes, Ryan Carpenter and Tanner Urban; great-grandchildren, Maikyi, Devin, Landon, Caleb, Ashlay, Sophia, Bryan and Aracely; brothers, Paul of Wooster, Don (Jeannie) of Wilmot and Roger (Patty) of Orrville; his mother-in-law, Eileen Seaman of Lexington, N.C.; a special sister-in-law, Sandy Carpenter and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Crystal Abarca; a great grandchild, Jalen McCullough; his parents; brothers, Ralph and Francis; his father-in-law, Robert Seaman Sr.; a sister-in-law, Josey Carpenter; a niece, Tina and a nephew, Jay.
