Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Olson

Elizabeth Ann Olson, age 63, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 28th, 2012 at her residence where she was surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Services will be Friday, 12:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Rev. Fr. Christopher Trenta officiating followed by interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster.
Visitation was Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster,. Ohio 44691.

She was born on November 4, 1948 in Petite Forte, Newfoundland to James and Martha (Power) Wakeham and has been a Wooster resident since 1969.
She received her BA in Education Degree from MUN University and from 1969 - 1974 she taught school at St. Mary School in Wooster.
She married Terrence W. Olson on September 7, 1976 in Wooster. He survives.
She then became Co-Owner and Book keeper of their family run business, Olson Heating and Cooling Co.of Wooster.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; volunteered for People to People Ministries and helped with tutoring tennis and belonged to the Wooster Tennis Club.
She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader; loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Christopher William (Amanda J.) Olson of West Salem, Ohio; a daughter, Marie Antonia Gammon of Delaware, Ohio; grandchildren, Maya Gammon, Lucas Olson and Emma Olson; brothers, Ernie, Dermot, Kenneth, Dennis Wakeham and sisters, Loretta Bugaiski, Theresa Thomas and Marie Traverse.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Wakeham.
