He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 2, 1939 to John H. and Judith B. (Sherrill) Nichols.
Jim dedicated 30 years of service to the City of Strongsville as Service Director.
He was a very generous, compassionate and hard working man. One of his many legacies was that his skills and mechanical abilities were matchless.
He was known to his family, friends and neighbors and even strangers as the "Go To" guy. He was always willing to help others. His love for animals was shown by the overflowing stocked pantry of horse treats and dog biscuits. His four legged furry friends will miss him also.
He leaves behind his wife, Norma (Bohner) Nichols, wife of 53 years; his sons, James (Nisa) Nichols, Samuel Nichols and his daughter, Julie Nichols; grandsons, Josh and Tyler Nichols; a grand daughter, Abby (Jason) Blakeney; a great-grandson, Noah James and friend, Shelly Doering.
Jim was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
