Obituary for Elizabeth M. "Betty" Orr

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Orr, age 79, of 3555 S. Swinehart Rd., Apple Creek, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, February 19th, 2012 at West View Manor Nursing Center in Wooster.
Services will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating followed by interment at Apple Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p,m. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Hospice and Palliative Care of Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

She was born in Ashland, Ohio on October 27, 1932 to Frank and Lulu (Bowman) Mizer and has been a Wayne County resident for most of her life.
She is a graduate of Smithville High School and married Harlan R. "Skip" Orr on November 6, 1981 in Smithville. He survives.
She previously worked for the Rutt & Amstutz Co. in Smithville as a Book Keeper for 25 years and later for the L.E. Sommer & Son Co. in Seville.
She was a member of Church Of The Saviour in Wooster. In her earlier years she was very active with horseback riding, archery and bowling. She most of all was very instrumental with helping her husband on the family farm.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Charles F. "Chuck" (Kathy) Hartzler of Wooster; step-children, Wendy Orr of Mansfield, Tim Orr of Wadsworth and Jeff (Diane) Orr of Marysville, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeremy Hartzler, Matthew (Brittany) Hartzler and a great-grandson, Evan Charles Hartzler; step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Montenaro, Heather Orr, Noah Orr, Micah Orr, Brandon Orr and Spencer Orr; a step-great-grandson, James Oliver Montenaro; a sister-in-law, Grace Mizer of Mansfield, ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Mizer, Jr., Robert, Howard, John and Paul Mizer and a sister, Mary.
