Obituary for Glen E. Judy

Glen Ernest Judy, age 88, of Wooster, peacefully fell asleep and stepped over into heaven on Friday morning, August 20, 2010 at his residence.
Memorial services will take place Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at West Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Wingate officiating.
A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: West Hill Baptist Church, 2241 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

He was born on December 3, 1921 in Logan County, Ohio to Edward and Martha (Meacham) Judy and has been a Wooster resident since 1972.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from August 12, 1940 - August 13, 1946.
He married Sara "Sally" Thaxton on October 6, 1946 in Gallipollis, Ohio. She survives.
He worked for many years as a Planner, Draftsman and retired from AstroMetallurgical as a Metal Fabricator on June 6, 1986.
He was a member of West Hill Baptist Church where he was involved with Caleb's Kin; past member of Toastmasters Club; enjoyed woodworking and loved to listen to classical music while reading many types of literature. He was known to have a great sense of humor and mostly enjoyed spending time with his family throughout the years.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Lynda "Dyann" (Marvin) Jones of Toledo, Ohio and Debra Ebeling of Elyria, Ohio; grandchildren, Katie Jones, Geoffrey Ebeling (fiance,Christina Galenski) , Benjamin (Michelle) Ebeling, Jonathan Ebeling; a brother, Burl Judy of Texas; a sister, Joy Scott of Florida; a sister-in-law, Mary Judy of Florida and a son-in-law, Terry Ebeling of Hickory, North Carolina as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Thaxton Judy; a brother, Donald Judy; a sister-in-law, Judith Judy; brother-in-law, Lee Scott.
