Obituary for Dale R. Brownfield Sr.

Dale R. Brownfield, Sr., age 69, of Wooster, entered into rest, Friday, January 1, 2016 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a brief illness. His family was by his side.
He was born on September 11, 1946 in Indiana, PA.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard from December 13, 1965 - December 12, 1971.
He married Geraldine "Geri" Brownfield on May 25, 1984 in Norton, Oh. She entered into rest on January 4, 2012.
He previously had lived in the Malvern and Minerva area before moving to Wooster.
He worked as a service & repair technician for Electronic Services in Minerva for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, working puzzles and was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his children, Jamie Brownfield of Wooster, Dale, Jr. (Melanie) Brownfield of Canton, Terry Bennett of Wooster, William "Bill" (Pauline) Bennett of Louisville and Christine Day of Columbiana; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Kirk Brownfield of Green, Melody (Gary) Moyer of Massillon and John Corn of Green. A special friend, Barbara Kiss of Cuyahoga Falls.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents, John H. and LaRue Mae (Law) Corn and a brother, Tommy Cameron.
Services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Interment will take place at Wooster Cemetery where military rites will also take be conducted.
Visitation will be 2 hours (12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.) prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
