Patricia  L. "Pat"  Stanley
Patricia Lois "Pat" Stanley, 81, of Wooster, passed away at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster on Monday, October 9, 2017, after a long illness.

She was married on August 14, 1971, to Warren Devere Stanley. He survives.

Pat was born March 3, 1936, in Luzerne, PA., one of eight children of James and Mary (Carr) Rutherford. She has called Wooster home for nearly 50 years. Pat retired from Walmart, but had worked previously at Wayne County Care Center, Rubbermaid and Meals on Wheels.


Surviving in addition to her husband, are daughter, Wendy (John) Vura, of Pittsburg, Kansas and sons, Jeffrey Gordon, Michael Gordon and Christopher (Pam) Stanley of Wooster and step-son Michael (Michelle) Stanley of Belmont, Ohio. Grandchildren are Emily, Angela, Brent, Morgan, Emma, Joseph, Stephen, and Natalie. Great grandchildren are Myla, Leah and Adalynn. She is also survived by her brother, James Rutherford of New Jersey, and two sisters, Constance Pinto of North Wales, PA and Joan Smith of Cocoa, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-daughter, Elizabeth Maynard.

There will be no public services.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Glendora Health Care Center for taking care of Pat and becoming a part of our family.

She will live in the hearts of her family forever and be greatly missed.
