Obituary for Rockey A. Mallett

Rockey A.  Mallett
Rockey A. Mallett, age 60, of Wooster, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a long illness. His family was by his side.

He was born on March 17, 1957 in Newark, Ohio to Clyde R., Sr. and Wanda L. (Ivy) Mallett and has been a Wooster resident for most of his life.

He previously worked as owner/operator of the Holmesville Inn in Holmesville for many years before his retirement.

Rockey enjoyed fishing and anything to do with the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends at his cabin at Prairie Lane Lake Park in Wooster; and being with his faithful canine companion, "Baby".

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Steve (Tammy) Mallett of Shreve, Clyde, Jr. (Amy) Mallett of Ravenna, Cheri (Eric) Thomas of Shreve, Eric (Stephanie Roach) Mallett of Wooster and Chrissy (Patrick) Edinger of Wooster; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew, Steve Mallett, II.

It was his wishes there be no services or visitation.

A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Oh. 44691.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.

The family would like to especially thank the many staff members of Life Care Hospice for their amazing care and concern for Rockey while in their care.
