Phyllis Bixler

I have only very happy memories of Aunt Margaret. When I was a child, she and Aunts Miriam and Edna were so attentive to their nieces and nephews. Living in other states during my adult life, I subsequently visited her only occasionally, typically with my mother, Martha, nine years her senior. During these visits, I was always impressed by the values stressed in the obituary, her passion for the welfare of others, her wide-ranging interests, her infectious smile. Also obvious was the love she and John had for each other. She is the last of my mother's siblings to go and I was very happy that she could visit my mother in her own final hours in Orrville, some years ago. To John and the rest of her family: I know that you have lost a bright light, but may you be consoled by the many happy memories you have of her. Phyllis Bixler, daughter of Martha Haueter Bixler
