Condolence: Kay and I were very saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I first met Gary when I came to the O'Neal home to pick Kay up for a blind date. It was December of 1961. we were double dating with my brother Dave and his girl friend, Connie Ring. Gary answered the door. "Where's Connie and Dave"? I told him they were in the car. He told me to go get them. When the three of us came back to the door, Kay was sitting in the middle of the living room. I didn't know at the time that Gary was Kay's "second father". He was very protective of her. I was instantly smitten with Kay and her wonderful family. I went in the Air Force a month later. Kay and I corresponded for most of the 4 years I was in the Air Force. I got out in January of 1966, we got married on May 29, 1966. Gary exuded a quiet strength. The world will be a sadder place without him.
