Obituary for Mamie I Lamb

Mamie I. Lamb, age 80 of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 6, 1936 in Coolville, Ohio to Raymond and Naomi (Long) Blackwell.

She married Don R. Lamb on March 31, 1956 in Carrollton, Oh. and had previously lived in the New Philadelphia area before moving to Wooster in 1965.

She was a devoted homemaker and was a member of Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Wooster. Throughout the years, Mamie received the most joy in life while raising and spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, William A. (Theresa) Lamb of Valley City, Oh., Michael W. (Joy) Lamb and Deborah (William) Walton all of Wooster; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a sister, Wanda Groff of Massillon, Oh.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Naomi Long who had raised her; a sister and a brother.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Kingdom Hall - Jehovah's Witness, in Wooster.

A private interment has already taken place at the convenience of the family.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
