Obituary for Camilla A Fickes

Camilla Fickes, age 83, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, June 9, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster following a period of declining health.
She was born on August 19, 1931 in Wooster to Carl and Mary (Bitner) Yund and has been a life long resident of the area.
She graduated from Wooster High School in 1949 and married Lauren D. "Larry" Fickes in February 19, 1950 in Wooster. He went home to be with the Lord in March 15, 1993.
She was a member of West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster where she also belonged to Caleb's Kin for many years. She had also played the organ for the church for over 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Barbara) Fickes and Jeffrey (Jeri) Fickes all of Wooster, Chris (Jane) Fickes of Tehachapi, CA. and Brian (Theresa) Fickes of Valdez, Alaska; grandchildren, Julie (Eric) Miller of Columbus, OH., Scott (Stacy) Fickes of Barlow, KY., Erin (Kevin) Maestri of Gilbert, Arizona, Abbi (Adam) Smith of Martinsville, Indiana, Corey Fickes of Wooster, Alex Fickes of Tehachapi, CA., Colin Fickes of Wooster, Brian, Jr. (Becky) Fickes of Valdez, Alaska, Jamey (Samantha) Fickes of Wasilla, Alaska and Caleb and Emily Fickes of Valdez, Alaska; 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Carl and Bill Yund.
Services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m.at West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster with Pastors Dan Wingate and Eric Fairhurst officiating followed by interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. also at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
