Obituary for Barbara Ann Nemeth

Barbara passed away suddenly at Wooster Community Hospital on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
She was born July 31, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to Lawrence and Ordie Robinson. She married her high school sweetheart Stephen (Ken) Kenneth Nemeth on September 11, 1959.
Barbara graduated from Coventry High School (Portage Lakes) in 1959. She retired from WQKT/WKVX Wooster Radio, where she worked for 31 years as accountant manager. Her husband Ken was station manager for many years and they truly enjoyed working together.
She was a generous, loving, creative person who was always up for stopping at one more quilt or antique shop. She loved planting flowers, reading and everything to do with quilting -- and was a member of the Tree City Quilt Guild for years. She was also an eager and active participant in the "Out to Lunch Bunch" which included Coventry High School classmates; Vicki, Jeanne, Gail and Louise. Her friends will miss her quiet humor and enthusiasm. Her family will miss her warmth, charm, unconditional love and unbreakable spirit.
Barbara was also very involved with her church, Zion Lutheran in Wooster, where she helped every Sunday prepare and serve meals for the less fortunate, helped with the food pantry, prepared communion and belonged to the Women's Rebekah Circle.
She was preceded in death by parents Lawrence and Ordie Robinson and son Robby Nemeth.
She is survived by husband of 55 years Ken, daughter Kendall (Daryl) Pleasant, daughter-in-law Kristine, grandchildren Scarlett, Isabella and Trinity, sister-in-law Sharon Stephens, nieces Stephanie Beery and Susan Zittle.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster.
A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
Words of comfort may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com.

A giving spirit and a heart of gold
A mom, grandmother, friend, and wife
Wed fifty five years to her high school sweetheart
Yes, to these she dedicated her life.

A quiet witness in her volunteering
With compassion for the lost and down trodden
Whether for man or one of God's creatures
The needs of others were never forgotten.

Using her talents to craft and to quilt
In her steadfast and humble walk with God
She brought beauty to her surroundings
In her garden while working the sod.

Now Barbara has quietly slipped from our midst
And our hearts are so heavy with grief
Though she left us with cherished memories
Our life journey with her was too brief.
