Obituary for Ron "Ronnie" Davis

Ron "Ronnie" Davis, age 59, of Wooster, passed away, Monday, October 6, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital following a three year battle with multiple health issues.
Ron was born on July 1, 1955 in Savannah, GA. to Roy and Shelba (Callaway) Davis.
Ron had made his home in the Wooster area for the past 37 years with his loving wife, Judy (Johnson) Davis of 34 years. She survives.
He was employed at the Timken Company in Wooster and later in Canton for 35 years until his retirement in 2012 due to health issues.
He enjoyed woodworking, having created many pieces that he gave as gifts from his heart throughout the years.He also enjoyed gardening, photography, playing frisbee, and bike riding with his beloved grandchildren. Drag racing was a great passion he shared with his wife and they both enjoyed watching races.
Ron will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. In addition to his parents of Pembroke, GA., and his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Laura (Kevin) Heath of Wooster; step-daughters, Heather (Aaron) Iona of Orrville and Stephanie (Steve) Beckett of Sterling; step-son, Warren Collins of the home; 10 grandchildren, Kordell, Sierra, J.T., Kyler, Taylor, Alex, Miranda, Breanna, Zachary and Bentley Scott.
Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Davis of Pembroke, GA. and granddaughter, Savannah Jean of Wooster.
Services will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Chris Stewart officiating followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m.
