Obituary for Alvin J. Zimmerly
Alvin J. Zimmerly, age 79, of Wooster, past away, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital following a sudden illness.
A private family interment has take place.
There will be no services.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
He was born on December 4, 1933 in Kidron to John A. and Helen M. (Weuthrick) Zimmerly and has been a Wayne County resident for all of his life.
He previously served in the Army National Guard for 6 years and worked as a Welder with Volvo of Orrville where he retired from after many years of service.
He is survived by his children, Robert "Bob" (Linda) Zimmerly of Wooster, Bonnie S. Sears of Gilmore, Ohio and Howard D. (Cynthia "Cindy") Zimmerly of Wooster; 3 grand daughters, Christie Morrison, Catherine Sears and Suzette Brown; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ellis Zimmerly of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant son; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
