Obituary for Anton "Tony" Zerrer

Anton "Tony" Zerrer, age 81, of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday morning, November 5th, 2009 at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster.
Services will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Orrville Grace Brethren Church,in Orrville with Pastor Isaac Graham and Pastor Del Miller officiating followed by interment at Smithville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the church where family will greet friends.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Orrville Grace Brethren Church, c/o The Family Assistance Fund, 2200 Paradise Rd., Orrville, Ohio 44667.

Tony was born in Smithville, Ohio on August 19, 1928 to Anton, Sr. and Hilda (Zaugg) Zerrer and has been a life long resident of Smithville.
He worked for the Former Sheller Meats Co. in Smithville for 41 years before retiring in 1986.
He was a member of the Smithville United Methodist Church and recently had been attending Orrville Grace Brethren Church for many years; in addition to spending time with his family, he enjoyed working with all types of puzzles and games; listening to all types of christian music and previously loved to spend time at his trailer in the Lakeville area.
He is survived by a sister, Caroline M. Page, a brother, William R. Zerrer and a niece, Victoria L. Page all of Smithville; numerous cousins in the Wooster and Orrville area.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
