Obituary for LaVonne M. "Bonnie" Zigler

LaVonne M. "Bonnie" Zigler, age 83, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, December 25th, 2008 at Akron General Medical Center in Akron.
Friends may call Monday, December 29th from 4-7 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster.
Services will be Tuesday, December 30th at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. A private committal will take place at the convenience of the family at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to the First Church of God, 1953 Akron Rd., Wooster, Oh. 44691.
Bonnie was born June 6, 1925 in Akron to Ivan and Mary (Cameron) Davis and married Robert A. Zigler on March 10, 1946. He survives.
She graduated from Central High School in Akron and was a homemaker. During WWII she worked at the Goodyear Aircraft Co.
She was a military wife from 1946 through 1976; as such she was responsible for many of the functions normally handled by the husband.
She volunteered at the Wayne County Home; Wooster Community Hospital and she was a member of the Wooster Stamp Club.
Bonnie was a dedicated prayer warrior and every morning she prayed for numerous missionaries, her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 63 years, are children, David (Joan) Zigler and family, Paul (Janice) Zigler and family, Cynthia (Lester) Brown and family and Tim (Barbara)Zigler and family.
Her parents died previously.
