Frederick J. Albright
Frederick J. Albright, 69, of Wooster, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on December 16, 1947, in Wooster, Ohio.
Fred was a lifelong resident of Wooster and graduated from Wooster High School in 1966. He was a gifted musician who played a number of instruments and recorded with his band, The Streys. He also recorded with other musicians, including Joe Walsh. In 2010 Fred retired as president of Albright Radiator, where he had worked for many years.
Known by family and friends as a kindhearted person who would help anyone, he also was well known for his compassion and love for animals. Fred quietly fed and cared for countless stray cats and dogs in the area for many years. He was an avid sports fan and he loved canoeing, mushroom hunting, volleyball, and attending musical events.
He is survived by his parents, John and Margaret Albright of Westview Healthy Living; his brothers Jerrold (Mindy), Wooster, David (Joanne), Smithville, Scott (Cindy), Wooster, and Hans (Terry), Wooster; nephews Franz, Emil, Ewen, David S., Joseph, Micah, and Nathan Albright; and nieces Krista Asher, Kara Elias, Jessica Clyde, Jonlyn Hartzler, and Katrina Albright; and Kathy Beall , his companion of many years and the love of his life.
A private memorial for immediate family has been planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Fred may be made to Kitten Krazy, 910 Lake Road, Medina, Ohio 44256.
