Elvera ""Vera""  Maguire (Kump)
Elvera "Vera" Maguire, age 94, of Wooster and San Francisco, CA., passed away, Monday, May 22nd, 2017 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster following a long period of declining health.

She was born on August 4, 1922 in San Francisco, CA. to John and Elvera (Sullivan) Kump She had been a life long resident of San Francisco before moving to Wooster to live with her daughter in December, 2009.

Vera married James J. Maguire on November 3, 1945 in San Francisco. He passed away on December 14, 2005.

She previously worked as a Telephone Information Operator for many years. She mostly enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family.

Vera is survived by her daughters, Karen Maguire of San Francisco, CA. and Dr. Pam Maguire of Wooster; granddaughters, Robin Evans of Wooster, and Jaime (Ken) Blankenship, and a great grandson, Alex Blankenship all of New Franklin, OH.; Teri Henley of Shreve whom she also thought of as a granddaughter; and numerous relatives in the San Francisco Bay area.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Fr. Joe Seebauer officiating.

It was her previous wishes for cremation to take place. Her cremains will be taken to San Francisco by her family to be buried next to her husband James Maguire.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH. 44691.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
