"TOGETHER AGAIN"

Geraldine L. "Gramps" Hummel, age 87, of Orrville, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Aultman Orrville Hospital in Orrville following a sudden illness.

She was born on September 24, 1929 to Merle and Della (Butterbaugh) Lautenschlager and has been a Wayne County resident for most of her life.

She married Cletus H. Hummel on November 27, 1953 in Smithville. He entered into rest in 1980.

She retired from Beacson's Greenhouse in Wooster where she had worked as a florist for many years.

She previously attended Smithville United Methodist Church; loved the outdoors along with gardening and growing flowers; was an avid Cav's and Cleveland Indians Fan.

She is survived by her brothers, Merle, Jr. (Julie) Lautenschlager of Smithville and Phillip (Francis) Lautenschlager of Wooster; a sister, Ester (Creed) Parsons of Smithville; numerous nieces, nephews and her good friends, Jose (Yolanda) Padilla.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her canine companion, "Tiffy".

It was her previous wishes there be no services.

A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
