Obituary for Catherine M. Goodman (Muldrew)
Catherine M. (Muldrew) Goodman, age 52, of Wooster, entered into rest and was released from her pain on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy period of declining health. Her family and faithful canine companion, "Scooter" was by her side.
She was born on June 6, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio to Bernard Sr. and Charlotte (Robson) Muldrew and has been a Wooster resident for over 30 years.
She married Michael A. Goodman on October 23, 2003 in McArthur, Ohio. He survives in Wooster.
She had been a foster parent for many years taking in over 30 children during that time and also has been a mother figure to many others. She also leaves behind many dear friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Charlotte Scarberry of Westerville, Ohio; a brother, Arthur William "Buddy" Muldrew of Westerville, Ohio; daughters, Trina Bartholic of Wooster, Melissia (Derick) Johns of Ohio and, Amberly Marie Hough of Rittman, Ohio ; 4 grandchildren, Christopher Preston Bartholic, Madyson L. Johns, Sierra and Faith Hough; Katie Kirven of Wooster who was like a daughter to her.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her step-father, William Scarberry; a brother, Bernard Muldrew, Jr. and her mother-in-law, Geraldine Goodman.
There will be no public services.
There will be a private gathering at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to held defray expenses.
