Obituary for James Gordon Riise
James G. Riise, age 69, of Shreve, passed into the arms of our Lord at his residence, on Friday, November 3rd, 2017.
He was born on September 9th 1948 in Akron, Ohio. He later moved to Barberton and then to the Norton area where he graduated from Norton High School in 1967.
After many years in construction, he retired early at the age of 55. Unable to sit still, he opened and ran a coin store in Berlin, Ohio which he had for twelve years before being diagnosed with cancer.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Paulette of 43 years; three sisters, one brother; one non biological brother, Daryl; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Othela; father, Andrew, second mother, Grace, a brother in law, sister in law and a nephew.
Services will be Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Michael Grant officiating followed by interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
Visitation will be two hours (11:00 - 1:00 p.m.) prior to services on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to either: LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691 or Cleveland Clinic of Wooster, Specialty Center, 721 E. Milltown Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
