Obituary for Elizabeth L. "Betty" Raff

Elizabeth L. "Betty"  Raff
Elizabeth L. "Betty" Raff, age 90, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Wooster Community Hospital following a short period of declining health. Her family was by her side.

She was born on July 25, 1927 in Long Island, NY to Byron W. Sr. and Anne (Barrett) Camp and moved to Wayne County where she has resided since 1941.

Betty married Raymond J. Raff on January 23, 1946 in Rittman. He went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 1998.

She had previously worked as a Clerk for Buckeye Mart in Wooster for 15 1/2 years and later for Taco Grande restaurant and with McDonald's in Wooster.

Betty was a member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church in Wooster. She was also involved with Mountain Vision Outreach; She also made prayer shawls and also over 13,000 heaven sent dolls for over 17 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved being with all of her grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Rex (Beth) Raff, Walter (Lil) Raff and Barbara Raff all of Wooster; 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Bliss (John) Harsh of Aurora, W.Va. and Carol (Jerry) Warwick of Wadsworth, Oh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Byron W. Camp, Jr. and 2 sisters, Nancy Houts and Grace Thompson.

Services will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Kyle Gould and Rev. Robin Dillon officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
