Obituary for David K. Guthery

David K.  Guthery
David K. Guthery, age 52, of Apple Creek, passed away, Wednesday, February 14th, (Valentines Day) 2018 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a brief illness.

He was born on March 16, 1965 in Paintsville, Ky. to the late Harmon Aaron and Betty Jean (Kelly) Guthery and has been a resident of the area for most of his life.

He graduated from Wooster High School in 1983 and then worked as a machinist for over 30 years before he retired on July 2017 due to health reasons.

David met Jamey Drope who became the love of his life in 2003 and then was married on February 22, 2005. She survives.

In addition to his wife who was also his best friend, he was proud to be a father and is survived by his 2 boys, Bowie L. Guthery and Mitchell A. Arnholt; his precious canine companion, "Jessy"; a brother, Dennis A. Guthery; his other best friend and "brother", Jimmy; a good friend, Ruby Schrock and his mother-in law, Wanda Drope.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his uncle Frank Guthery and his papaw and mamaw, Kelly from Greensburg, Ky.

David loved life and enjoyed music and belonged to the Wooster American Legion. He will also be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

It was his wishes there be no calling hours or services and a Memorial Celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
