Obituary for Carol O'Hara

​​​​​Carol O'Hara, age 69, of Wooster and formerly of Girard, Ohio, passed away, Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center in Akron.

She was born on December 16, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio to Raymond P. and Winona Mae (Crissinger) Slagle and spent most of her life in the Springfield Twp. area (just south of Youngstown).

She graduated from Youngstown State University in 1971 with a Bachelors of Anthropology Degree.

Carol married Michael T. O'Hara on April 15, 1972 at St. Rose Church in Girard, Ohio. He survives.

She was a devoted homemaker and member of the Girard Library Book Club. She had volunteered for many organizations throughout the years and enjoyed painting water color.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her daughters, Kate (Jeff) O'Hara-Burger and Mary O'Hara all of Bexley, Ohio; grandchildren, Madailein and Lydia Burger.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. David Roberts officiating followed by interment at Reedsburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be this evening (Thursday) at the funeral home from 7 - 9 p.m. and one hour prior (9:30 - 10:30 a.m.) to services on Friday.
