Arwood "Woody" Webb, age 97, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster. He was surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of his life will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with grandsons, Devin Webb and Jason DeVerna officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior (10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) to services on Thursday. A private interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wooster at the convenience of the family.

Woody was born March 18, 1921 in Paintsville, Kentucky to Leander and Dona (Salyers)Webb.
He married Dot Webb on September 30, 1937 in Oil Springs, Ky. They were married 72 years until her death in 2009.

Woody honorably and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII.

He and Dot served in ministry with the Church of God for many years in Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania. When they moved to Wooster, he finished his years of employment with Wooster United Methodist Church and Wayne Mutual Insurance Co.. He attended Church of the Saviour.

He had a green thumb and took great pride in his beautiful flowers each summer. He was a devout reader of the King James Version of the bible. He was very devoted to his family and prayed for them each day calling children and grandchildren by name. He was considered a prayer warrior for many.

When his wife, Dot, became ill, he lovingly cared for her until her death.

He will be deeply missed by his children. A son, Rev. Ron (Drema) Webb of Mt. Juliet, TN. and daughters, Jan (John) Fleming and Deanna (Jim) Hart both of Wooster; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Gullett of Clarksburg, TN.; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he is preceded in death by his siblings.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Westview Healthy Living and Life Care Hospice for their compassionate care of our father. The family would also like to thank the Pastor's of Church of the Saviour and the church family for many years of love and care.
