Obituary for Cathy J Wolford (Ferguson)
Cathy J Wolford, age 63, of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at her residence following a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Cathy was born on September 24, 1955 in Canton to Glenn E. and Wilma J. (Beebe) Ferguson.
She married Jon D. Wolford on June 8, 1974 in Massillon. He survives.
She was a 39-year employee of Aultman Hospital were she was the Administrative Coordinator for the Canton Medical Education Foundation.
Cathy was a member of Forty Corners Church of God where she also served as a pianist. She loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Matthew (Rachelle) Wolford and Joseph (Jarod Shamp) Wolford all of Dalton; brothers Glenn, Eric (Lynne), and Ed (Val) Ferguson; grandchildren Mia (Ethan) Colby, Ramiah, Keelyn, Jaiden, and McGuire Wolford, and a great-grandson, Franklin Colby and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
The family will host a Celebration of Cathy's life on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at 3pm at Forty Corners Church of God, in Massillon. Everyone is also invited for a time of visitation and comfort food following the service.
A private interment has taken place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Forty Corners Church of God Youth, 3474 Beaumont Ave. , NW, Massillon, Oh. 44647.
