Obituary for Ronald Eugene "Ronnie" Holbrook

Ronald Ron, Ronnie. Pops, Papa & Papa Jo" Eugene Holbrook, age 71, of Wooster, returned to his heavenly home on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster after a valiant battle with a short illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.

He was born on July 5, 1947 in Fallsburg, Ky. to Arthur and Viola (Miller) Holbrook.

He married Vanessa Jane Workman on June 3, 1989 in Creston. She survives.

He had worked in the farming industry throughout the area before his retirement after many years of service and was a member of Dalton Baptist Church. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed making people laugh but mostly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Jamey Workman and Samantha Scott all of Mansfield, Oh., Robin Hinkle and fiance, Tom Dellafave, II of Wooster, Jeremy Rising of Nova, Oh. and Heather Hootman of West Salem, Oh.; grandchildren, Austin, Tad ,Jayden, Blake, Jasmine, Chelsey, Paiten, Cadence, Wilson and Zachary; a brother, Eddie (Mary) Holbrook and a sister, Lula (Packer) Debord all of Ky.; A long-time friend, Van Damron of Alabama and his faithful canine companion, "Jazzy".

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant child and 2 infant grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Holbrook, Jr. and a sister, Diane Caudill.

Memorial services will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m. at Dalton Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Greegor officiating.
There will be a time of visitation and comfort food immediately following services at the church.

A private interment has taken place at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to help defray expenses.

The family wishes to especially thank the wonderful staff at Life Care Hospice in Wooster for their compassionate care and and concern during his stay.
