Obituary for Jinny Beck (Baab)

Jinny Beck, age 76, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Monday. May 20th, 2019 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on August 30, 1942 in Wooster to Hubert L. and Lorna (Mumaw) Baab and has been a Wooster resident for all of her life.

She married Edward R. Beck in Beaver Falls, PA. in 1959. He survives.

She had worked as a Medical Records Director for Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster and then retired after 23 years of service.

She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Wooster; enjoyed making quilts, crafts and sewing but mostly loved spending time with her family and especially being the “worlds best grandma”.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Laura L. Hoffman of Smithville and Doug E. ( DeAnn) Beck of Chester, SC; grandchildren, Dan C. (Rachel B.) Hoffman of Smithville, Valorie L. Hill of Smithville, Paula Machovina and Vicky Beck; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. David (Lynne) Baab of Seattle, WA.; a brother-in-law, Ray Martin of Wooster.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Connie O’Neil and a sister-in-law, Marge Martin.

Services will be Saturday, 12:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Pastor Steve Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Wooster Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour (11:00 - 12:00 pm.) prior to services at the funeral home.
