Obituary for Christeen K. Hoover (Breneman)
Christeen K. Hoover, age 65, of Shreve, entered into rest on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Orrville Point in Orrville following a period of declining health.
She was born on April 16, 1954 in Millersburg to Russell E. and Mary E. (Bowlin) Breneman and has been a Wayne County resident for most of her life.
She married Leo F. Hoover on October 9, 1992 in Millersburg. He survives.
She previously worked for Castle Nursing Home in Millersburg as an LPN for 20 years before taking an early retirement due to health reasons.
For many years, she was very involved as a den mother with the Boy Scouts Of America while her sons were growing up. She mostly loved spending time with her family and numerous friends throughout the years.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Timothy K. (Wendy M.) Davis of Shreve, Andrew R. Davis of Wooster and Morgan Hoover of Shreve; grandchildren, James R. (Amber) Davis, Christeen E. Davis and Stephanie I. Davis all of Shreve; a sister, Rebecca L. (Richard) Taylor of Glenmont, Oh. and a brother, Barry W. Breneman of Wooster; nieces, Kelli Breneman of Wooster, Haley L. (Chad) Strouse of Millersburg and Meghan L. (Francis) Kauf - Thomas of Wooster; nephews, Brain W. (Heather) Breneman and Dylan T. Kauf all of Wooster; her former husband, Andrew O. Davis of Vermont; 2 great nieces with another due in October and 2 great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Russell E. Breneman, Jr.
A Celebration of Visitation will be Saturday, from 2 - 5 p.m. at Valley College Grange, 2411 Shreve Rd. in Wooster where everyone is invited to share their memories.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
