Licensed Funeral Director
A Parma native, Alan has worked in and around the funeral business since the 1980's. He graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011 with a BS in Business Management, served his apprenticeship and obtained his funeral director licence, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
"As a young child, I lost my grandfather and I never forgot the kindness the funeral director and his family showed toward my family. That event guided me to a lifetime of service to others; as a funeral director and a paramedic."
As a paramedic, Alan has worked many years with the Medina Life Support Team. As a Smithville resident, he raised his two daughters Brianna and Mia, and volunteered with the former Smithville Fire Department. Alan is a member of Wooster Bible Church, where he plays upright bass.
Beside enjoying live music, Alan's hobbies include anything automotive, historical research and photography (especially funeral home history) and administering the Old Funeral Homes Facebook page.
