Obituary for Betty J. Kardas

Betty J. Kardas, age 87, of Wooster, passed away surrounded by her family Monday August 25, 2014 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Council Grove, KS on December 18, 1926 to Robert F. and Helen I. (Eckenfeltz) Schrader.
She married Julius Kardas in 1942 in San Antonio, TX. He passed away on October 5, 2005.
She retired from F.J. Designs in 2010 after 20 years of service.
She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed cooking for them. She was a long-time past member of Wayne County Arts and Crafts Guild and an avid reader.
She was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers and OSU football.
She will be deeply missed by her children, Julian (Yueh-Kuei "Mary") Kardas of Graham, WA, Lawrence "Larry" Kardas of Marshallville, Pat (Mike) Hartel of Wooster, Annette (Mike) Burge of Burbank and Jeff (Rebecca) Kardas of Delaware, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Kim, Troy, Ryan, Molli, Mandi, Julia, Cody, Dillon and Ryder; 4 great-granddaughters, Maizy, Josie, Makenzee and Brooke and a special niece, Carol. She also leaves behind her faithful feline companion, "Baby".
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy L. Mocarski, Virginia R. Ranney, Bonnie L. Schrader and brothers, Jack R. and Bobby L. Schrader.
It was her request for private family services and interment to take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman where she will be with her husband.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is privileged with serving the family.
