Obituary for Mary Louise Chenevey
Mary Louise Chenevey, age 93, of Fredericksburg, died peacefully, Friday, February 28, 2014 following a period of declining health.
Mary was born on August 24, 1920 to John and Gladys (Strickmaker) Kniesner in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
She married Russel H. Chenevey on June 28, 1958 in Wooster. He died on April 29, 2003.
She previously worked for General Electric and then with the former Cordex , Inc. in Apple Creek for many years before retiring in the early 1980's.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; enjoyed crocheting; playing bingo with friends and mostly spending time with family throughout the years.
She is survived by a daughter, Annette (Robert) Simon in Orrville; grandchildren, Catelyn of Bluffton, S.C. and Aaron Simon of Orrville; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Bear and Maxine Howells; 2 brothers, William "Goose" Kniesner and Frank Kniesner.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Stephen Moran officiating. Interment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wooster.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster and one hour prior (8:30 - 9:30 a.m.) to the mass on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to either: Hospice LifeCare, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH. 44691 or St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster, OH 44691.
