Obituary for Jimmy Andrew "Dixie TOGETHER AGAIN" Dixon Sr.

Jimmy Andrew Dixon, Sr. known as "Dixie" by friends and family, went home to meet his beloved wife Nancy at heaven's gate, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, 12:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster with Pastor Thomas McFadden officiating followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour (11:00-12:00p.m.) prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice LifeCare, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Jimmy was born the 14th child of John W. and Mattie L. (Lynch) Dixon on December 9th, 1938 in Hot Springs, N.Carolina.
He married Nancy King on February 16, 1957. She went home to heaven on March 4, 2005.
He served his country in the US Air Force and Army National Guard. He retired from Schaffer & Johnson Surveying Co.; was a member of the Wooster Elks and was a faithful supporter and donor to veterans organizations throughout the years.
He is survived by his 4 children, Jimmy A. Jr. (Doreen) Dixon of Big Prairie, Jana (Donnie) Girt of Wooster, John (Rhonda) Dixon of Killbuck and Dawn (Brian) Persinger of Wooster; his family was complete with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
His parents and wife precedes him in death.
He was happiest when all his family were around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
