Rosalie "Rosie" Thornhill, age 78, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her husband, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a period of declining health.

She was born on January 18, 1939 in Ashland, Ohio to Boyd Raymond and Florence Glorine (Gill) Miller and has been an area resident for most of her life.

She married Merritt L. Thornhill on June 8, 1958 in Wooster. He went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2012.

She had previously worked for Yacos Fine Foods Restaurant in Wooster where she served in many capacities for over 40 years. She enjoyed collecting dolls; drawing along with craft making; loved to visit Amish Country and to be in the outdoors. She loved spending time with her many friends and especially with her family who also lovingly cared for her at her residence.

She is survived by her son, Dennis M. Thornhill of Wooster; a grandson, Dennis M. (Kristin) Thornhill, Jr. of Jeromesville; a granddaughter, Samantha R. Thornhill and a great-grandson, Zander A. Patrick both of Danville, OH.; 2 sisters, Millie (Carl) Yacapraro and Dixie Fisk all of Wooster; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Services will be Monday, 1:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Chaplain Charlotte Glasgow officiating followed by interment at Reedsburg Cemetery in Wooster.

Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Monday (12:00 - 1:00 p.m.) at the funeral home.
