Obituary for Zelma Plymire

Zelma Plymire, age 100, of Wooster, passed away, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster.
She was born on March 21, 1915 in Smithville to Edward Thomas and Minnie L. (Farmer) Holmes and has been an area resident for all of her life.
She married Andrew Plymire on June 7, 1934 in Wheeling, W. Va. He passed away on December 30, 1993.
She had previously worked at Wooster Twp. Elementary School for 19 years as a cook before retiring in 1978.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and knitting where she also won numerous awards at craft shows and the Wayne County Fair.
She is survived by her daughters, Zandra (Rex) Mairs and Roberta (Roger) Hartman all of Wooster; sons, Gary (Janet) Plymire of Wooster and David (Sandy) Plymire of Ashland, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- Granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Nellie Harbaugh, Mary Holmes, Dorothy Holmes, Ruth Bostick and a brother, Arthur Holmes.
A graveside service will take place on Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at Paradise Church of The Brethren Cemetery in Smithville. There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., Wooster is honored with serving the family.
