David Chilson

Marian (Smith) Jaffray and my mother Marian (Roller) Chilson were classmates at Wooster (class of 1941). The "Two Marians" remained friends for the rest of their lives. They corresponded regularly through their "Round Robin" letters. And they always looked forward to seeing each other at Wooster reunions. I got to know Marian Jaffray (and her husband Bob) in the early 1970s. Bob and Marian lived in Kailua, Hawaii and I was stationed with the Navy at Kunia, Hawaii. Marian and Bob invited me to their home and made me feel very welcome there. I received a letter from Marian less than a month ago -- with two color pictures from Wooster reunions and a very nice note. You will be deeply missed Marian! Thank you for being such a good friend to my mother. And my deepest sympathies to your family members. David Chilson Bowling Green, Ohio
